Happy Easter

Hello Everybody hope you all had a lovely St. Patrick's weekend! We have another exciting weekend ahead too with Easter it’s all go! Here is what each room is up to for Easter in Ardenza.
In the baby room Suzanne and Geraldine will sit with the babies and talk and look at pictures of bunny’s, eggs and chickens. They will point out their colours shapes and noises they make and read the story 'By the light of the Silvery Moon' which has lovely baby bunny’s and chicks in it and it’s a favourite story with the babies. The babies will get to do sensory play with an Easter basket and explore feathers, egg shells, fur, colourful crepe paper , paint and glitter. For arts and crafts there will be fluffy handprint chicks and colourful eggs made to brighten up your fridge!
In the toddler room Bernie and Laura will talk to the children about Easter bunnies, chickens and Easter eggs. They will also look at pictures describing them and asking the toddlers questions on them. They will get to do an egg hunt in the toddler room with the girls hiding eggs in the shop and around the room and help the toddlers to find them letting the children keep them once they find them giving them praise for their hard work. The children will also do beautiful arts and crafts making eggs and bunnies.
Upstairs the preschool rooms will also be learning about Easter time. In circle time Shell, Mary Ann and Lisa will discuss how Easter is about Easter bunnies, chickens and Easter eggs but also how some people like to celebrate Easter in a church. They will ask the children if they are going to church over Easter and those that will be can tell the teachers and the class about what they do in church. They will talk about how fun it is to have Easter eggs but not to eat too much in case of tummy ache! For arts and crafts the children will get to paint eggs, make colourful eggs, make bunnies and chickens. And for fun the children will get to have an egg hunt outside, getting to keep the eggs after they find them. A fun week in Ardenza!
Happy Easter to you all!
