In the baby room Suzanne and Geraldine will sit with the babies and look through pictures of Santa, describing him and try and get the babies to say HO HO HO. The girls will sing Christmas songs like Jingle Bells , Rudolph the red nosed reindeer and Santa Claus is coming to town. The babies will play with musical instrument especially the bells while doing Christmas songs. There will lots of arts and crafts done like footprint Christmas trees, handprint Santa’s and lovely fingerpainting pictures which are great personal gifts for family and friends.
In the toddler room Bernie and Shell will discuss what happens at Christmas with the children in circle time. They will chat about what Santa looks like, his reindeers, the north pole and what happens Christmas eve and the importance of being in bed early! There will be Christmas story’s read and the usual Christmas songs sang.
Upstairs in the ECCE room and preschool rooms Mary Ann, Lisa and Sarah will discuss the importance of giving at Christmas as well as asking them about their Christmas traditions. The girls will try an explain how some children around the world don’t get any presents and we should be grateful for what we do get whether its big or small and it’s not about the amount of presents we do get. The girls will emphasise how hard the elves work to make the present and how Santa has to deliver them so we should be grateful for all their work. The girls will discuss their traditions at home as everybody has different ones and ask the children about their ones. There will be the most beautiful Christmas arts and crafts made which will brighten up the home even more and I’m sure Santa will be delighted when he sees all the hard work your little one has done! there will lots of singing done which will come in handy for when Santa visits the crèche!
