Hello everybody! Here is what your little ones are up to this week in Ardenza as we celebrate Halloween!
In the baby room Suzanne and Rachel will do lots of sensory Halloween activities like feeling the inside of a pumpkin, squeezing cotton wool ghosts and playing with orange paint. The girls will also do arts and crafts with the babies and make some scary foot monsters and spider handprints!
In the toddler room Bernie and Mary Ann will talk to the children about Halloween in circle time and how its fun. They will explain how bigger boys and girls go trick or treating and dress up in costume. For arts and crafts the girls will make ghosts, pumpkins and spooky spiders.
Upstairs in the ECCE classes and preschool rooms will chat about Halloween fun in circle time. Lisa and Laura will ask the children if they go trick or treating and what they like to dress up as. The girls will talk about how they used to dress up and go trick or treating and play Halloween games. The children will also get to do arts and crafts and make scary Halloween decorations to decorate the crèche with!
Seeing as Halloween falls on the bank holiday Monday this year and we will not be open for it we are going to celebrate Halloween on the 28th of October instead which is a Friday so if you could dress your child up for that day that would be great! And if they won’t put it on in the morning for you just pop it into the bag and we can put it on them in the crèche! We will be having a party, spooky disco, and playing games!
Have a good week!
