Hello Everybody, hope you all had a lovely bank holiday. It may be a short week ahead but lot to be done in Ardenza! Here is what we are up to!
In the baby room it’s time for the babies to learn about farm animals. In the cosy corner Suzanne and Geraldine will look through farm pictures books and point out the animals an make the sounds. There will be lots of baaing, mooing, clucking, clip clopping, quaking and oinking! The girls will sing 'Old MacDonald' and 'baa, baa black sheep' and help the babies with the actions. The babies will get to scribble on farm animal activity sheets as well as helping Suzanne and Geraldine stick cotton wool onto sheep drawings. The babies will also get to play with farm animal toys and the girls will encourage them to make the sound of that animal.
In the toddler room it’s time to learn about summer time. In circle time Bernie and Shell will chat to the children about Mr. Sun coming out and wearing sun hats and sun cream. They will sing 'Mr. Sun' and the butterfly song and they will read stories on trips to the beach. They will also learn about the butterfly and lady bug and talk about their colours. Shell will provide summer colouring sheets and there will be some sun handprints made.

In circle time the girls will discuss how the weather changes in summer, the clothes we wear, sun protection and beach safety. They wwill read summer stories and the girls will ask the children about what they love about summer. There will be lots of colouring done and butterfly and lady bug arts and crafts.
And in Trisha’s room the children will be learning about Maths. Trisha will teach them about basic maths like counting and number recognition as well as a small bit of adding up small numbers. The kids will do some tracing of numbers and activity sheets.
